Nestled in the foothills of the Catskills, 90 miles from New York City, stands a historic synagogue that has served the needs of Ellenville and the Catskill community for almost a century.
Throughout the year, Jews from around the country stop at Ezrath Israel to join our minyonim and marvel that a Jewish community has thrived in a small town for so many years.
Nearby are the towns of Monticello, the home of the Hebrew Day School of Sullivan and Ulster Counties, Woodridge, sponsor of a Kollel, South Fallsburg, site of a world famous yeshiva and Woodbourne, the famous summer resort town featuring Kosher eateries, shopping and entertainment.
The entire area is growing, new businesses and housing are cropping up all over. Ellenville is becoming a popular summer and all year round community. Housing is available at affordable prices.
And in the middle of it all stands Congregation Ezrath Israel, with its hebrew school, mikvah, daily minyan, adult education, catering hall, etc., taking care of the needs of its congregation and the Jewish community now and well into the future.
